Hi! My name is Erinn Hartwell. Welcome to our family page!

Healthy Cinnamon-Raisin Soft Pretzels

Plump, chewy and a little bit sweet and salty, these healthy pretzels have it all. Try using white whole-wheat flour; it has a more kid-friendly taste than its cousin, regular whole wheat, and more fiber than all-purpose flour. For little and big kids: Let them help measure ingredients, roll and shape the pretzels and sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar.

Healthy Secret Strawberry-Chocolate Chip Muffins

These muffins have a strawberry surprise baked in the center. It's also a surprise that each one has only 9 grams of sugar! For little and big kids: Let them help with lining the baking pan, measuring and scooping. Big kids can place the strawberries in the batter; little kids can sprinkle the chocolate chips.

Healthy, Gluten-Free Cheesy Crackers

Part of the beauty of gluten-free dough is that you don't have to worry about handling it too much, so kids can really go to town rolling and shaping these snack-friendly cheesy crackers. (Overworking dough with gluten in the flour can make the dough tough.) For little and big kids: Let them measure ingredients, cut out the crackers and sprinkle on the toppings. For big kids: Let them try rolling out the dough.

Healthy Taco Popcorn/ Mrs. Della's Favorite!

Nutritional yeast is the secret ingredient in this taco spice blend. Dried and not active, it's high in vitamin B12 and has a pleasant cheesy flavor, making it the perfect stand-in when dairy's not an option. (You can find it in the supplement aisles at grocery and health food stores.) For big and little kids: Let them help measure ingredients and toss the popcorn.

Healthy Peanut Butter Balls

These super-easy, fiber-packed treats are perfect as an after-school or camp-day snack. (Bonus: They don't need to be refrigerated.) For a more grown-up version, roll them in banana flour (made from freeze-dried bananas) or a little cocoa powder. For little and big kids: Let them help measure ingredients and roll the balls.
